LittleBigPlanet 2 Collectors Edition Unboxing + Review
Hello everyone! LBP2 arrived! It took a while to get the video on YouTube, but that’s because the file was rather large, and the quality is much better as you can see! Remember to rate, comment, and subscribe! Let’s get a review of the collectors edition in quickly shall we?
So as you can see from the video, the collectors edition came with the game, regularly priced at $59.99, bookends or game-ends, a 7 inch sackboy plushy, as well as a code two download 11 costumes, as well as 5 exclusive themed PSN avatar. (Which I forgot to show in the video)
Is this collectors edition worth the $79.99? In my honest opinion, yes it is. The sackboy is a genuine sackboy, who is built to last, cuddly and cute. I imagine an object of that nature would run for about $10 – 20, as it is a collectible item. Treated well, I imagine he could last an extremely long time.
Are the bookends/game-ends worth it? You be the judge. LittleBigPlanet 2 is an exclusive game to PS3, and definitely was one of the most anticipated games of the year. The bookends/game-ends are a nice way to show off your collection, and would be a great addition to any collection, as it highlights your passion for gaming. Also, I doubt that you will be able to find bookends like these anywhere, perhaps on the internet, as part of the collectors edition which someone would be selling for reasons unknown. Personally I’d price these at around $10 – 20 CDN. The bookends/game-ends make a nice addition to the collectors edition, which is well worth it.
The costumes that came with the game are exclusive content to the collectors edition, or you may be able to purchase them on PSN, I haven’t looked. While some may not find these a necessary addition to the collectors edition, it is worth having. Only a certain few would have these costumes, and they look really cool in game. (Clu helmet and hands are awesome!) Media Molecule did a partnership with Disney this time around, so you have exclusive costumes like Clu, from Tron, the Toy Story alien, and the Great Gonzo from the Muppets (his suit is awesome). You also get

Basically you have exclusive content to work with when you purchase the collector’s edition.
For me, the plushy sackboy, the bookends and the bonus costumes make the collector’s edition worth the extra $20. It was money well spent in my opinion. At first I was regretting purchasing it, because it was so expensive, and I am also getting the collectors edition for Dead Space 2 hopefully next week, which is the same price. However when it came today all that regret disappeared, and I love it.
There is nothing lackluster in this collectors edition package, and altogether it is worth the $79.99.

Yeah I should probably start naming these updates. I apologize again for the lack of items being posted, unless because school became really hectic all of sudden due to a deferred exam. I know I’ve been using the “I’m busy” excuse a lot, but between schoolwork and working, writing reviews is very tiresome, especially since I want to put a good effort into it and not make it seem like a half-assed review.
Anyways some good news for you guys, LittleBigPlanet2 collectors edition tomorrow! And some more good news! I have a better camera now (an actual one) that records in much better quality and sound should be much better. So be sure to check that out, I’m hoping that it gets here early so I can be the one of the first (if not the first) to bring that unboxing to YouTube!
